Uga is the beloved mascot for the University of Georgia. More people will stand in line to have their picture taken with Uga than with any player or coach. Uga is the star of every game. This is a picture of Uga I, the first live bulldog mascot for The University.
Navy Seal, Petty Officer Jon Tumilson, was killed in Afghanistan on August 6th. His dog, Hawkeye, attended his funeral and never left his person’s side. This dog has honorably served his human, just as Petty Officer Tumilson has served his country.
This weekend we’ll finally get to see the University of Georgia’s newest Uga mascot. Uga VIII is owned by the Seiler family of Savannah, who have supplied all the Uga bulldog mascots for Georgia. Watch the game this weekend between UGA and Vanderbilt to see Uga VIII.

Even though we named our dog after Homer, Alaska he doesn’t care for the cold. A few weeks ago the South was hit with a cold front where the highs didn’t break 13 degrees. This was Homer during that cold front.
